Senior Staff Product Designer (AI)

What you will do

• Set the design direction for AI across hirify.global, including in-chat actions, agent workflows, proactive notifications, anomaly detection, and human-in-the-loop experiences.
• Define clear AI design standards and reusable patterns with the design system team.
• Help product teams identify and implement AI opportunities across their areas.
• Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and regular dogfooding of AI products.
• Collaborate independently across the company, including with sales, risk, compliance, and ML engineering teams.
• Mentor designers and contribute to the growth of the AI design practice.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years at Staff level or above.
• Deep experience designing AI products, including conversational UX, agents, copilots, and automation.
• At least one shipped AI feature with a demonstrated result, with the ability to explain the problem, research, prototype, launch, and outcome.
• Excellent product design craft and a portfolio containing at least one case study.
• Regularly use AI tools in design work and follow new AI releases.
• Systems-thinking skills and comfort working with ML engineers on error states and confidence thresholds.
• Ability to move quickly, make independent decisions, and work through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Ability to ship personal work to production.
• Experience applying behavioural science to AI products.
• Background in payroll, HR, fintech, or compliance, or strong personal projects in these areas.
