Flight Software Engineer (GNC)

Location: London, United Kingdom; based in the UK office.

What you will do

• Develop, integrate, maintain, and validate Guidance, Navigation and Control software within spacecraft Flight Software.
• Contribute to GNC design activities and trade-off analyses involving Flight Software aspects.
• Develop and continuously improve simulation environments, software development infrastructure, and automated verification frameworks.
• Define and execute verification activities including code reviews, static analysis, software testing, and compliance with software quality and coding standards.
• Design, implement, execute, and analyse closed-loop GNC tests on FlatSat and other representative spacecraft test environments.
• Support GNC subsystem verification and validation activities, including preparation, execution, and analysis of test campaigns.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Around 5 years of professional experience.
• Proven experience in standard-driven embedded software development.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the GNC subsystem.
• Experience with simulation environments and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Familiarity with spacecraft verification and validation activities.
