Senior Embedded Crypto Software Developer (Cryptography)

Location: Gratkorn, Austria, with other locations in Bucharest, Spain (home based), and Glasgow. Home office and flexible working time are available.

What you will do

• Specify and implement state-of-the-art cryptographic algorithms, including post-quantum cryptography, across platforms.
• Design and implement software countermeasures against side-channel analysis and fault-injection attacks.
• Own technical topics through software design, implementation, code reviews, architecture contributions, and technical planning.
• Integrate cryptographic software securely with operating systems, firmware, and final products.
• Collaborate with security architects, evaluation teams, test engineers, and platform support teams.
• Support product certification activities and security evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in mathematics, cryptography, computer science, electronic or electrical engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in cryptography and embedded security, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
• Strong understanding and implementation experience with cryptographic primitives such as ECC, RSA, AES, and SHA-2/SHA-3.
• Solid embedded software development experience with C and Assembly, plus knowledge of microcontroller architectures such as ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V.
• Knowledge of hardware and software countermeasures against side-channel and fault-injection attacks.
• Strong debugging, analysis, teamwork, ownership, and delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with post-quantum cryptography.
• Experience with Rust.
