Senior Analytics Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and refactor analytical data models and high-quality datasets in the data warehouse.
• Lead initiatives focused on data quality, observability, and model optimisation.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers to deliver customer-facing reporting and valuable insights.
• Assess and mitigate the impact of upstream product changes.
• Develop semantic layers for business intelligence using domain knowledge.
• Mentor junior engineers on the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in transforming, testing, and documenting data while maintaining robust data lineage.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques.
• Experience with software engineering best practices, including version control and continuous integration.
• Strong proficiency with SQL in cloud data warehouses, including Snowflake, and comfort with performance optimisation, data partitioning, and window functions.
• Ability to work effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in ambiguous situations with high-level direction.
• Experience with dbt for the data transformation layer.
• Experience with business intelligence tooling such as Power BI or Looker.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
