Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake/dbt)

What you will do

• Build versioned SQL transformation logic across staging, conformed, and curated warehouse layers.
• Recompute application-layer business logic, including account balances and other derived financial values.
• Flatten key-value and dimension-set structures into standardized dimensional attributes for reporting.
• Implement reconciliation and data-quality checks from replication integrity through report-level parity.
• Enable BI semantic models and reporting tools to consume approved curated objects instead of raw source tables.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD promotion, and automated regression testing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with substantial SQL transformation work on a cloud data warehouse.
• Professional experience with Snowflake, dimensional or curated data modeling, and Slowly Changing Dimensions Type 2.
• Experience with reconciliation and data-quality frameworks, temporal data modeling, late-arriving facts, and effective-dated attributes.
• Solid Git-based development and CI/CD promotion experience across development, test/UAT, and production environments.
• Awareness of sensitive-data handling, access tiers, data classification, and security-aware engineering practices.
• Fluent English required for daily collaboration with distributed engineering teams and US client stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or a similar versioned SQL transformation framework.
• Experience with Power BI or another enterprise BI platform.
• Experience with financial or GL data modeling, including ledger entries, chart of accounts, fiscal calendars, and accounting periods.
• Background in mortgage, lending, or financial-services data engineering.
