TL;DR
Product Designer (Fintech): Designing mobile financial membership experiences, from early concepts and prototypes through shipped products, with an accent on simplifying complex credit, debit, and rewards journeys. Focus on user research, design-system contribution, close collaboration with product managers and engineers, and balancing rapid experimentation with polished visual execution.

Location: Hybrid, based in the London Shoreditch or Cardiff office; at least 3 office days per week, including Mondays. Right to work in the UK and background checks are required.

Salary: £47,000–£65,000 annual salary, depending on experience. Stock options: £29,000–£47,000.

Company

hirify.global is building a regulated financial membership combining credit or debit with rewards for travel, dining, entertainment, wellness, and shopping.

What you will do

  • Design flows and prototypes that turn complex financial problems into simple, effortless member experiences.
  • Create polished, enjoyable mobile products for hirify.global’s credit, debit, membership, rewards, and flights experiences.
  • Run user research, test concepts, conduct usability sessions, and grow toward leading research projects.
  • Work closely with the product manager and engineers from early sketches through final delivery.
  • Balance rapid, scrappy experimentation with detailed visual polish and contribute to the design system.

Requirements

  • Strong visual design craft, including typography, layout, colour, spacing, hierarchy, and motion.
  • A few years of design experience, including at least the last couple of years working on digital products and shipping work used by customers.
  • Experience designing digital interfaces; native mobile experience is ideal, with a willingness to treat mobile as its own craft.
  • Interest in contributing across the full product-design lifecycle, from member conversations and shaping ideas to final details.
  • Ability to seek, receive, and act on feedback.
  • Open and frequent communication, with engineers and product managers treated as creative partners.
  • Focus on customer impact rather than shipping output alone.
  • Curiosity about new tools and ways of working, including AI for design.

Culture & Benefits

  • Office-first and remote-friendly hybrid environment with flexible work beyond the required office days.
  • 35 holidays, including 27 days of annual leave and 8 public holidays.
  • Private healthcare with Bupa and enhanced parental leave of up to 12 weeks after one year.
  • £750 annual learning and training allowance.
  • Team offsites, breakfasts, lunches, and regular social events.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme and fresh pour-over coffee in London.

Hiring process

  • Introductory video call with the VP of Design.
  • Portfolio review, followed by a design challenge such as a take-home task, whiteboarding session, or app critique.
  • On-site values interview, offer decision, and required right-to-work, criminal, politically exposed persons, and credit background checks; the process typically takes 2–6 weeks.
