Systems Engineer III (AWS)

Location: Mexico City; hybrid role with regular in-person collaboration, team meetings, and engineering rituals.

What you will do

• Lead complex cloud infrastructure deployment, modernization, and troubleshooting initiatives, preferably on AWS.
• Design and implement advanced automation workflows to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive resilient architecture decisions and own technical execution plans for medium- to high-complexity initiatives and critical changes.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Improve operational practices, observability, and documentation for critical services.
• Mentor Systems Engineer I and II team members and collaborate with architecture, security, product, and FinOps stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps-focused roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deployment tooling such as Helm or ArgoCD.
• Strong incident troubleshooting and service reliability mindset in cloud and containerized environments.
• Ability to independently own cross-team technical initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
