Cloud Operations Technician (Azure)

Location: Fully remote for candidates residing in Quintana Roo or Yucatán, Mexico

What you will do

• Respond to and triage production alerts as the primary on-call responder.
• Troubleshoot incidents using runbooks and standard procedures, escalating issues with clear technical context when needed.
• Execute incident management procedures, including communication channels, timeline documentation, and runbook compliance.
• Monitor system health, performance, service quotas, and usage limits through observability dashboards and tooling.
• Perform routine maintenance, security updates, patching, and infrastructure provisioning with predefined infrastructure-as-code modules.
• Maintain operational documentation, monitoring dashboards, and developer-tool access workflows.

Requirements

• Residence in Quintana Roo or Yucatán, Mexico for this remote role.
• Availability to participate as the primary responder in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Experience responding to and triaging production alerts in a cloud environment.
• Functional understanding of virtual machines, networking, and security groups; Azure experience is preferred.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, or Grafana.
• Strong written English for incident timelines, runbooks, and operating procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience configuring management tools and automated patching.
• Familiarity with cloud-platform or developer-tool access management.
• Basic scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Previous experience in operations, NOC, or service desk environments.
