SAP Integration Engineer (CPI/BTP) Freelance

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test integrations using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) within SAP BTP.
• Integrate an Azure-based AI-powered invoice booking solution with SAP S/4HANA supplier invoice APIs.
• Work with the Azure development team to define interfaces, data mappings, and integration flows.
• Implement authentication, validation, error handling, monitoring, retry mechanisms, duplicate prevention, and transaction consistency.
• Support auditability and approval checkpoints for automated financial actions.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, support end-to-end testing, and document interfaces, configurations, dependencies, and recovery procedures.

Requirements

• Hands-on development experience with SAP CPI and SAP BTP.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA supplier invoice APIs.
• Experience integrating SAP with external applications or cloud platforms.
• Practical experience with API-based integrations, including OData and REST.
• Understanding of SAP FI invoice processing and financial posting workflows.
• Experience handling integration failures, retries, duplicate prevention, and transaction consistency.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with an Azure development team.
• Working proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP CIM and/or SAP Ariba.
• Experience integrating SAP with Microsoft Azure services.
• Familiarity with AI-driven invoice processing or financial automation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting.
