Installation & Maintenance Dispatcher (Fiber)

What you will do

• Plan daily assignments and schedules for fiber installation and maintenance crews based on project priorities and technician availability.
• Receive, review, prioritize, and document work orders, ensuring all dispatch information is accurate.
• Coordinate communication between clients, field technicians, management, and internal departments.
• Monitor job progress, technician locations, work status, deadlines, delays, and urgent requests using GPS or other tracking tools.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts, coordinate emergency repairs, and maintain reports on operations, productivity, and issues.
• Coordinate tools, materials, equipment, safety compliance, and incident reporting for fiber operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in scheduling, coordination, or dispatching.
• Prior experience in the telecommunications or fiber installation/maintenance industry is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling and work order management tools.
• Working knowledge of fiber installation and maintenance processes.
• Ability to monitor field operations using GPS or tracking systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination across teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to urgent requests.
• Experience coordinating with field technicians and clients.
• Strong adherence to safety and compliance standards.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when needed to support critical operations.
