Web Developer (Mid to Senior Level, Vue)

Location: Meridian, Idaho, United States; full-time remote work is available from a location other than a WSP-designated office or job site.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop modern, scalable web applications from UI/UX wireframes, mockups, and functional requirements.
• Own the full application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, support, and maintenance.
• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and consistent operation across platforms.
• Integrate Geospatial Information Systems using appropriate APIs or SDKs, including mapping platforms such as Google Maps.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, visualization teams, project leads, project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Mentor team members through code reviews and technical guidance, write tests, mitigate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and provide application and end-user support.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience directly related to web development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles, with experience creating motion and interactive experiences.
• Strong experience supporting and maintaining production web applications relied upon by users.
• Hands-on experience interfacing programmatically with APIs such as Google Maps or other mapping platforms.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, JSON, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Experience using Git in a collaborative, multi-developer environment and writing clear documentation with readable, appropriately commented code.
• Proven experience mentoring and cross-training team members, including conducting code reviews.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and manage scope, schedule, and priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, managers, and stakeholders; willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving technology landscape; adaptability in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience with Vue.js or similar front-end frameworks.
• Experience with Quasar or other UI libraries or frameworks.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, common design patterns, and data structures.
• Experience working with SVGs, including animation and interactive behaviors.
• Mid-level experience with Azure Cosmos DB or relational databases.
• Contributions to open-source projects and an active GitHub portfolio.
• Working knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG and Section 508.
• Experience with WordPress or other popular content management systems.
• Enjoyment of owning, troubleshooting, and solving complex technical challenges.
