Senior Policy Analyst (Export Credits)

Location: Paris, Île-de-France Region, France

Salary: Monthly salary starts at 9 783 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt from French income tax.

What you will do

• Lead Secretariat support for the Participants to the Arrangement on officially supported export credits, ensuring delivery of the work programme and implementation of adopted decisions.
• Direct the preparation of policy, analytical and decision-making materials and facilitate negotiations and consensus-building among government delegations.
• Lead analytical and policy work on interest rate and premium disciplines, aid and export credits, and related technical expert activities.
• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of three to four analysts, consultants and support staff through objective-setting, resource allocation, coaching and performance management.
• Build relationships with member representatives, export credit agencies, international organisations, private-sector stakeholders and civil society organisations.
• Represent the Division in international meetings and provide strategic advice and briefing materials to senior management and national delegations.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in economics, finance, public policy, statistics or another relevant discipline.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in policy analysis, economic analysis or related fields gained in government administration, an international organisation, financial institution, export credit agency or research environment.
• At least five years of professional experience in officially supported export credits and essential knowledge of the hirify.global Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits and its associated Sector Understandings.
• Experience supporting, facilitating or leading international policy discussions and negotiations involving multiple stakeholders and competing interests.
• Experience managing and developing teams, including setting strategic objectives, allocating resources, coaching staff and overseeing performance.
• Project management experience delivering complex analytical workstreams involving extensive quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• A strong record of producing analytical and policy-oriented work, including reports, briefing materials and decision-making documents for senior audiences.
• Experience presenting complex policy and technical issues to senior government officials, international delegates and other high-level stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including experience with large datasets and quantitative analysis.
• Fluency in one hirify.global official language, English or French, and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
