Investment Controller (m/f/d) - Manufacturing

Location: Hamburg, Germany; onsite manufacturing role.

What you will do

• Manage and control CAPEX and OPEX projects throughout their full lifecycle.
• Prepare and monitor investment requests, business cases, financial justifications, budgets, forecasts, and investment plans.
• Perform variance analysis, risk assessments, project spending and cash-flow monitoring, and forecast-accuracy reviews.
• Complete monthly closing activities, including accruals and actuals, and support fixed asset accounting and asset capitalization.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, governance requirements, and IFRS accounting standards.
• Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, and financial analyses; partner with Technology, production, facility management, and other operational departments on investment projects and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in project controlling, investment controlling, financial analysis, or related finance functions, depending on educational credentials.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, investment evaluation, and financial reporting.
• Experience with CAPEX management and project-oriented cost controlling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP or comparable ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented capabilities, including the ability to translate complex financial relationships into business insights.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and manage stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent written and spoken German and good English skills.
