Engineer (Python)

Location: US, Remote; US citizenship required to support Government customers

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications and backend services.
• Develop asynchronous Python services with Celery and Model Context Protocol services with FastMCP.
• Design and manage containerized environments using Docker Swarm.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval with Couchbase and other NoSQL technologies.
• Build horizontally scalable architectures and troubleshoot distributed systems in Linux environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using spec-driven development and AI coding tools such as Claude Code.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python and Celery experience.
• Experience with Docker Swarm, Couchbase or similar NoSQL databases, AWS, and cloud-native design.
• Advanced Linux systems administration and performance tuning skills.
• US citizenship required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
