Backend Team Lead (Node.js, AWS)

The company builds a cybersecurity solution for the AI-driven SDLC: protecting against critical, real-time risks from AI code generation from prompt to production. The product unifies development and cloud context to stop vulnerabilities right at the source.

This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and customers, owning execution across multiple workstreams and shaping technical decisions from initial design through production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical execution and drive engineering excellence in the backend team.
• Manage project delivery and ship end-to-end features in a fast-paced environment.
• Design and evolve scalable, reliable backend systems.
• Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and engineering processes.
• Grow the team: mentoring, onboarding, and developing engineers.
• Communicate complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on development experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role (Team Lead / Tech Lead).
• Deep expertise in Node.js (must-have) and AWS (must-have).
• Experience with React is a plus; Python experience is a plus.
• Strong interest in AI tools and a passion for using AI to improve developer experience and system performance.
• Proven track record of managing project execution and delivering features in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with a global/distributed team.
