Senior Strategy Manager (Retail Media)

Location: Orange County, CA, USA; hybrid with on-site client work at least twice per week. The role is listed as remote, but candidates must be based in Orange County or within reasonable commuting distance.

What you will do

• Develop and present strategic recommendations, media plans, and advertising solutions aligned with client objectives and growth opportunities.
• Serve as the primary strategic contact for a key client, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide ongoing strategic guidance.
• Identify retail media, commerce media, and retailer advertising opportunities supporting client marketing and business goals.
• Partner with the Growth team on pitches, proposals, presentations, and high-priority new business requests.
• Conduct industry research, monitor emerging trends and technologies, and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Create capabilities decks, industry presentations, company points of view, reusable frameworks, templates, and processes to improve strategy operations and collaboration.

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital media planning, media buying, or advertising strategy, ideally within a digital advertising agency.
• Hands-on experience with Retail Media, including retail media networks, commerce media, or retailer advertising platforms.
• Agency-side experience developing strategies and delivering client solutions.
• Client-facing experience presenting recommendations, managing stakeholder relationships, and collaborating directly with client teams.
• Strong understanding of programmatic advertising and the broader digital advertising ecosystem.
• Ability to develop media strategies, proposals, and presentations connecting business objectives with actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in Orange County, CA, or within reasonable commuting distance, with availability to work on-site with the client twice per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer electronics, technology, or other major consumer brands.
• Experience supporting both pre-sale and post-sale strategy, including new business pitches and ongoing client strategic planning.
• Familiarity with major retail media platforms and networks such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, or other commerce media solutions.
