Platform Engineer (Ansible+Chef) & Golang Engineer (Ansible/Chef)

What you will do

• Design and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, inventories, environments, and secure secrets management.
• Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks, recipes, Policyfiles, and Chef Infra Server and Chef Automate environments.
• Automate OS provisioning, hardening, patching, application deployments, and configuration management across Linux and Windows estates.
• Run Ansible Automation Platform workflows and RBAC, and integrate configuration management into CI/CD pipelines with automated testing.
• Enforce CIS benchmarks and compliance-as-code for PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 audits, while provisioning cloud and on-premises infrastructure with Terraform.
• Support Chef-to-Ansible and platform-version migrations, troubleshoot production incidents and configuration drift, document solutions, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, including 3+ years of production experience with Ansible and Chef.
• Strong Ansible experience with playbooks, roles, Jinja2 templating, dynamic inventories, and custom modules.
• Strong Chef experience with cookbooks, Policyfiles, Berkshelf, Chef Infra Server, and knife.
• Ruby for Chef development, plus Python and Bash scripting.
• Deep Linux administration experience with RHEL and Ubuntu, plus working knowledge of Windows Server automation.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP; and with VMware or other on-premises virtualization.
• Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Git workflows and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Infrastructure testing with Molecule, Test Kitchen, or InSpec.
• Security fundamentals covering hardening, secrets management, least privilege, and patch management.
• Clear written and spoken English and confidence working with clients.
