TL;DR
Performance & Reliability Squad Lead (Payments): Leading a six-person DevOps squad that builds performance, reliability, observability, testing, and security solutions for cloud-based payment platforms with an accent on GCP infrastructure, platform robustness, and production stability. Focus on prioritizing platform improvements, coordinating deployments, resolving production incidents, and implementing vulnerability management and security testing.

Location: Hybrid, Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

  • Lead a squad of six DevOps engineers specializing in software and platform performance, reliability, and observability.
  • Define and prioritize the backlog with squad leads and technical experts, identifying platform, solution, and tooling improvements.
  • Coordinate improvement-plan deployments across platform and software layers.
  • Provide performance and robustness test platforms and tooling for developers and non-functional requirements testers.
  • Improve observability, issue detection, and anticipation across platform performance and reliability.
  • Support production performance and reliability incident resolution, security standards, penetration testing, and vulnerability management with development, testing, operations, cybersecurity, customer project, and release stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Broad technical skills in cloud-based infrastructure and strong DevOps experience, including Java application development, production support, databases, systems, networks, and security.
  • Experience with GCP and ideally AWS.
  • Experience in technical project management.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MQ, Kafka, Dynatrace, Loki, Prometheus, Grafana, GitLab CI, Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • Leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Supportive, positive, persistent, and empathic approach.

Nice to have

  • Experience in Agile Scrum.
