Developer Productivity Engineer (AI)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; 100% remote

What you will do

• Evaluate, integrate, and maintain developer tools and AI agents for application engineering workflows.
• Build and operate CI and scheduled workflow agents that investigate failures, propose fixes, and provide actionable evidence.
• Improve automated pull request reviews by evaluating finding accuracy and reducing reviewer noise.
• Develop code quality checks for complexity, file and function size, dependency cycles, and performance regressions.
• Improve development environments, testing, build, and release workflows so engineers and agents can verify changes reliably.
• Prioritize tooling improvements, support adoption through documentation and onboarding, and measure effectiveness, reliability, and operating costs.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining developer tools or engineering automation used by other engineers.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js skills.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI coding tools or agents, including output validation and human review.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and systematic debugging of build, test, or integration failures.
• Strong understanding of maintainable code, automated quality checks, and behavior-preserving refactoring.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work remotely with a globally distributed team.
