Senior Android Developer (Fintech)

Location: Cyprus; remote workplace; work in the EU

hirify.global is a fintech product company building financial tools for business owners across Europe and has raised approximately €115 million in a Series C equity round.

What you will do

• Design and build Android features for company accounts, cash flow management, banking transactions, payments, card issuance and management, and AI-powered accounting automation.
• Architect and implement reliable, intuitive solutions for multi-account cash flows, physical and virtual cards, and financial workflows.
• Build polished, responsive interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
• Own code quality, performance, stability, automated testing, and thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product on end-to-end solutions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Android development and strong Kotlin knowledge.
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer patterns and the ability to choose the appropriate pattern for the context.
• Hands-on experience with RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow; Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin; Retrofit; Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component; and Jetpack Compose.
• Practical experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.
• Experience with feature-module architecture in production.
• Confidence with Git and GitLab, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD.
• Clear, concise English communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• A product-builder mindset focused on users and outcomes, plus the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Fintech or financial-product experience.
• Mobile security best-practice knowledge.
• Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance, including reducing overdraw, improving Jetpack Compose recomposition efficiency, and achieving smooth 60/120fps rendering.
• Experience with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.
• Published Google Play applications and an active GitHub profile with shareable code.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, and AI-powered IDE tools, including agent environments, prompts, rules files, agent mode, and workflow integration.
• Understanding of model capabilities and limitations, context-window management, and verification of AI-generated output with tests, linters, and critical review.
• Awareness of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, and safe handling of untrusted inputs.
• Java knowledge.
