Android Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid with 2 days of home office per week and up to 4 additional fully remote weeks during summer and December; available in 2 locations. The team collaborates across France, Italy, and Eastern Europe.

Gross annual salary in Italy: €45,000–€61,000, plus bonus.

What you will do

• Improve the Android app homepage with contextualized and personalized content.
• Build a secure authentication flow without adding friction for users.
• Develop dynamic, intent-based landing pages for marketing campaigns.
• Build internal tools with the engineering guild to help teams move faster.
• Ship and maintain production Android applications in collaboration with product, design, backend, and iOS specialists.
• Debug production issues and continuously improve the long-term maintainability of the codebase.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of Android development experience.
• Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose experience.
• Knowledge of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and modular design.
• Experience building and shipping production Android applications.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, debugging, and balancing technical quality with customer impact.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL APIs, RxJava, or Dagger2.
• Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
• Interest in food and dining experiences.
