Senior Android Developer (Fintech)

hirify.global is a fintech product company building financial services for business owners across Europe, including company accounts, banking transactions, cards, and AI-enabled accounting.

What you will do

• Design and build Android features for multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, physical and virtual cards, and AI-powered accounting automation.
• Architect reliable, intuitive solutions and build responsive interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
• Own code quality, performance, stability, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product to shape solutions end to end.
• Drive technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve the product.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Android development experience and a proven record of shipping products.
• Strong Kotlin knowledge; Java knowledge is optional.
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID, and Clean Architecture.
• Solid experience with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation patterns, with the ability to choose the appropriate pattern for the context.
• Hands-on experience with RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow; Dagger 2, Hilt or Koin; Retrofit; Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component; and Jetpack Compose.
• Practical experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.
• Production experience with feature-module architecture.
• Confidence with Git and GitLab, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD.
• Clear, concise communication in English with technical and non-technical audiences, plus a product-focused and pragmatic approach.

Nice to have

• Fintech or financial product experience.
• Mobile security best-practice knowledge.
• Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance, including reducing overdraw, improving Jetpack Compose recomposition efficiency, and achieving smooth 60/120fps rendering.
• Experience with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.
• Published Google Play apps and an active GitHub profile with shareable code.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, and AI-powered IDEs, including agent environments, prompts, rules files, agent mode, and workflow integration.
• Understanding of model capabilities and limitations, context-window management, and verification of AI-generated output with tests, linters, and critical review.
• Awareness of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, and safe handling of untrusted inputs.
