XPLORER 2027 Digital Transformation & Process Standardization in Manufacturing Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; 6-month curricular practicum from February to July 2026, part time at 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week from 08:00 to 13:00.

What you will do

• Analyze and map manufacturing data from design, engineering, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and digitally streamline departmental processes.
• Support data-driven decision-making and develop robust digital methodologies.
• Study Operations and lean workflows from design definition through final assembly, focusing on end-to-end efficiency in an Aircraft Final Assembly Line.
• Facilitate communication and consensus between stakeholders in Planning, Production Control, and Operations.
• Document standard operating procedures for future development and continuity.

Requirements

• Currently studying an Engineering or IT degree and in the final year of the degree.
• Fluent English.
• Analytical mindset and process modeling skills.
• Communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Team spirit and strong collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Operations and lean workflows from design definition to final assembly.
