Cloud Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra or Braga, Portugal; hybrid with 2 days per week at the office.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code and plan application and workload migrations to the cloud.
• Configure cloud networking, including VPCs/VNets, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing.
• Implement identity and access management, security controls, compliance practices, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Support containerized and serverless workloads; monitor performance, availability, and costs and propose optimization measures.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, identify root causes, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, and development teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of solid experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar infrastructure role.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, such as EKS, AKS, or GKE, or equivalent platforms.
• Scripting experience, preferably in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Git; English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/Architect, or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer.
• Experience in enterprise environments.
