Senior DevOps Engineer - Voice

Location: Portugal; primarily remote with occasional visits to offices in Coimbra or Aveiro

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain application infrastructure in collaboration with DevOps engineers and development teams.
• Develop tooling and automation to streamline product deployment and maintenance.
• Use GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Chef to deploy applications across development and production environments.
• Support in-house and third-party applications, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Linux servers, create Grafana dashboards and alerts with Prometheus and Alertmanager, and document operational practices.
• Participate in incident resolution and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a related field.
• Strong Linux operating system and command-line experience.
• Experience with Chef or other configuration management tools.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of networking principles, including DNS, TCP/UDP, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Proficiency in Bash, Ruby, Python, or Go, plus a foundational understanding of security best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm templating.
• Experience with SIP and RTP voice/video protocols.
• Familiarity with AWS, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, MySQL, or Ansible.
• Experience working with globally distributed and remote teams.
