TL;DR
HP UEFI Diagnostics & Platform Firmware Engineer (UEFI/ACPI/AI PC): Developing and maintaining firmware diagnostics, platform validation, and enablement solutions that run directly in the UEFI environment with an accent on hardware diagnostics, BIOS integration, and next-generation ARM and AI PC platforms. Focus on debugging ACPI and device enumeration, validating hardware interfaces, and integrating BIOS, embedded controller, drivers, and operating systems across x86 and ARM64 systems.

What you will do

  • Develop and enhance UEFI diagnostics for memory, storage, batteries, audio, cameras, networks, and system boards.
  • Build factory diagnostics and manufacturing solutions for hirify.global platforms.
  • Develop and debug UEFI and BIOS firmware, ACPI architecture, device discovery, and platform enumeration.
  • Perform hardware validation and platform bring-up across x86 and ARM64 systems.
  • Integrate BIOS, embedded controllers, drivers, and operating systems.
  • Explore ARM PC enablement, AI PC validation, Rust-based firmware, QEMU virtualization, and simulation environments.

Requirements

  • Experience with UEFI, BIOS, or EDK2 development.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, and/or Rust.
  • Experience developing or debugging ACPI.
  • Knowledge of ARM64 and x86 platforms and Windows or Linux internals.
  • Experience with hardware interfaces including PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, UVC, UAC, I2S, MIPI, and SoundWire.
  • System-level debugging and validation experience.
