Treasury Operations and Reconciliations Manager (Payments)

What you will do

• Run daily treasury operations, including funding payment channels and maintaining payment buffers around the clock.
• Perform reconciliations across banks, card schemes, payment processors, and custodians, progressing from balance checks to automated transaction-level controls.
• Protect client money and maintain accurate, timely regulatory and scheme reporting.
• Design funds flows for new products, markets, and partners, including accounts, postings, safeguarding treatment, reconciliation, and failure handling.
• Act as the escalation point for payment incidents and build cross-team processes to resolve issues quickly and prevent recurrence.
• Document operations, remove single points of failure, and automate manual work with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Experience in treasury operations, payment operations, or reconciliation at an e-money institution, payment institution, or bank.
• Experience converting manual, person-dependent work into documented and automated processes in close collaboration with engineers.
• Experience handling money-impacting payment incidents from first alert through resolution with banks, schemes, and internal teams.
• Hands-on knowledge of payment rails including SEPA, SWIFT, and card schemes.
• Experience actively designing or rebuilding money flows for new products or payment rails, including accounts, postings, safeguarding treatment, and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of segregation of duties and audit readiness, with the ability to explain complex money flows clearly.
• Fluent English.
