Financial Data and Analytics Senior Consultant

Location: Southfield, Michigan, United States; principally in-person with flexibility determined with the supervisor and team. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annually for applicable offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts.

What you will do

• Build and support financial and key data from financial systems used by Internal Accounting and across the firm.
• Troubleshoot and enhance published reports, and create reporting in Workday, Power BI, and Adaptive Planning.
• Intake report requests, identify appropriate data, and deliver effective reporting solutions.
• Run assigned and ad hoc data requests and analysis, including helpdesk reporting and issue escalation.
• Use SSMS/SQL, Power BI, Excel, Alteryx, and internal applications to investigate, transform, cleanse, and analyze data.
• Review, create, and investigate business processes using Microsoft Power Apps and communicate across functions to interpret requests into deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting with report-writing experience is required.
• Strong aptitude for data analysis is required.
• Creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand internal processes and terminology and communicate cross-functionally.
• Collaborative project experience as part of a team or leading a project.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with databases.
• Advanced Excel/VBA skills.
• Accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis experience.
• Workday experience.
