Work Package Project Manager/Engineer (Pharmaceutical Project)

Location: Beijing, China; on-site.

Project delivery work involves coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

What you will do

• Lead a defined project work package from design through construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, risks, quality, milestones, and project constraints.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Review contractor programmes, work plans, method statements, and progress updates; facilitate meetings and report on deliverables and project status.
• Support change management, procurement, vendor management, contractor performance reviews, and claims management.
• Maintain project documentation, issue logs, risk registers, and action trackers while ensuring governance, contractual, reporting, health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary stakeholder groups.
• Project management professional certification or active pursuit of one.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and build strong relationships with teams and clients.

Nice to have

• Experience with mission-critical facilities, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, or commercial developments.
