Senior Critical Network Engineer (Critical Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, based in Perth, Western Australia

Salary: AUD 140,000–160,000 plus superannuation

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and secure critical infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Support infrastructure modernisation and technology transformation projects.
• Work with networking, virtualisation, server, and storage technologies.
• Identify infrastructure risks and improve system resilience and availability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen security controls and operational practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide senior-level guidance, and contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure monitoring initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure hardening.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in utilities, energy, transport, mining, or other critical infrastructure environments.
