Delivery Solutions Architect - Public Sector (Defense Industrial Base)

Location: Remote (US-based) with up to 30% travel. U.S. citizenship is required to access classified information due to federal contract and client site access requirements.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually. Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead post-technical-win account strategies and execution plans for Databricks use cases across strategic public-sector and defense industrial base accounts.
• Own technical delivery across onboarding, enablement, production go-live, adoption, healthy consumption, and customer success.
• Act as the first technical contact for production and go-live issues, resolving complex escalations and coordinating with senior customer executives.
• Coordinate Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding and Technical Services, Support, Professional Services, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Develop execution plans covering use-case production, user growth, Lakehouse adoption, cloud cost control, tuning and optimization, and executive governance.
• Provide internal and external KPI updates on usage, customer health, risks, investment status, product adoption, and use-case progression.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet federal contract and classified-information access requirements.
• 7+ years of experience accountable for technical project or program delivery in Data and AI, including contribution to technical debates and design choices with customers.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role.
• Understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems and of attributing business value and outcomes to project deliverables.
• Technical program or project management experience, including account, stakeholder, and resource management accountability.
• Experience resolving complex, important escalations with senior customer executives.
• Experience conducting open-ended discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, performing business analysis, and managing complex program or project delivery.
• Track record of overachievement against quota, goals, or similar objective targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.
