Hardware Engineer (Electronics)

Location: On-site in Zeeland, Michigan, United States; travel to customer sites is required, primarily in West Michigan with occasional domestic travel.

What you will do

• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams across full product development.
• Lead electronic hardware design, including circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
• Build, prototype, debug, document, and validate hardware designs for new products.
• Apply circuit analysis, modeling, thermal management, and EMC principles.
• Lead design reviews, technical decisions, customer engagements, and project scoping.
• Develop validation and pre-compliance test strategies, contribute to proposals, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical hardware design or product development.
• Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, hardware bring-up, lab validation, testing, and regulatory or pre-compliance processes.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and effective collaboration with software teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and customer-facing skills.
• Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States without restrictions or expirations.
