Junior DevOps Engineer (Graduate) - Reuters Imagen (Cloud/Media)

Location: Hybrid, United Kingdom, Willingham, Cambridgeshire; office attendance is expected 2–3 days per week for office-based roles. Work from anywhere is available for up to 8 weeks per year.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Imagen platform installations across AWS and Azure.
• Onboard Reuters content partners by configuring ingest pipelines, transforming metadata with XSLT, and validating delivery to Reuters Connect.
• Integrate customer Imagen systems with Reuters Connect using platform configuration, API credentials, storage, workflows, and delivery profiles.
• Maintain Terraform infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines for serverless ingest functions.
• Build automation around customer platforms, including event-driven ingest pipelines, API integrations, and Python or PowerShell scripts.
• Investigate platform incidents, run media migrations, decommission legacy systems, and document solutions.

Requirements

• Hybrid work in Willingham, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, with regular office attendance.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one major public cloud, AWS or Azure, and interest in learning the other.
• Scripting ability in PowerShell and/or Python.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, especially MySQL or MariaDB.
• Experience with Git, structured data formats such as XML and JSON, and REST APIs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
• XSLT, XPath, or experience transforming data between schemas.
• Windows Server, IIS, Linux, Apache, networking, containers, Kubernetes, or cloud monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, IAM, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Interest in video and media technology, including codecs, containers, transcoding, and delivery formats.
