What you will do

• Lead design for complex, cross-cutting platform problems from discovery and research through delivery and iteration.
• Translate ambiguous problems and new business areas into clear product direction with product, client success, and sales partners.
• Design data-dense workflows that help underwriters find relevant information and make confident decisions.
• Define how AI communicates confidence and sources while keeping underwriters in control of decisions.
• Establish scalable design patterns for new lines of business and use AI and rapid prototyping tools to validate concepts.
• Raise design quality through critique, mentorship, and shared standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing digital products for B2B, data-rich, or productivity-tool companies.
• Experience designing AI-driven tools and scaling an existing platform across new workflows.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complexity and create thoughtful user interfaces.
• Systems thinking and experience shaping or contributing to design systems.
• Strong visual design, information hierarchy, interaction, layout, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in a rapidly scaling startup environment with high ownership and comfort solving ambiguous problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with MUI (Material UI) or similar design systems.
• InsurTech, FinTech, or other highly regulated industry experience.
• Technical background or interest in how products are built.
