Design Director (AI)

Location: Addison, Texas, United States; minimum three days per week in the office

Salary: $160,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Set design vision and strategy while contributing hands-on to UX/UI, product, visual, and experience design.
• Translate complex systems, data, and AI-enabled capabilities into intuitive, intelligent, human-centered experiences.
• Connect brand, content, UX, data, technology, and business goals across the customer journey.
• Lead workshops, design critiques, brainstorms, stakeholder interviews, alignment sessions, and executive presentations.
• Build client relationships, support account growth, shape opportunities, and contribute to proposals and pitches.
• Mentor designers, develop talent, and strengthen the design community across levels and geographies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional design experience, including leadership of UX/UI, product, visual, or experience design teams.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership impact and individual craft, including product design, design systems, prototypes, or AI-enabled digital experiences.
• Strong command of Figma and modern design collaboration workflows.
• Deep expertise in human-centered design, discovery, prototyping, testing, measurement, delivery, accessibility, and design systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills with the ability to influence executives, clients, product owners, engineers, and strategists.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, visual communication, product design, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience is valued.

Nice to have

• Senior design leadership experience in consulting, digital product, enterprise transformation, or technology-led environments.
• Experience with Lovable, Relume, Claude Design, Figma Make, Miro, Jira, Confluence, VS Code, or similar tools.
• Experience in motion graphics, wearables, and emerging platforms.
