Senior Software Engineer, Platform Security & Reliability (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own API authentication and authorization, IAM policies, account and network boundaries, and secrets management.
• Design data protection patterns covering storage segmentation, encryption, KMS key management, retention, and access controls.
• Build proactive security and platform-health monitoring with GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, X-Ray, and RUM.
• Maintain documented compliance controls, automated evidence collection, audit logging, and traceability for accredited security reviews.
• Build shared platform services, internal tooling, reusable infrastructure patterns, and infrastructure as code on ECS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS, and S3.
• Review engineering system designs, define security and reliability standards, and drive remediation across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and platform expertise.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience, including building production systems end to end.
• Experience securing and hardening AWS environments across API access, IAM, network boundaries, storage, encryption, and secrets.
• Infrastructure as code experience with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with detective controls, SLIs/SLOs, alert design, monitoring, and telemetry-driven troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or Scala, strong written communication, and the ability to explain and own work created with AI coding tools.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
• Experience with accredited security compliance protocols, SEC Regulation S-P, GLBA, or other financial-services regulations.
• Threat modeling, vulnerability management, penetration-test remediation, or SRE experience.
• Production PostgreSQL operations or experience in fintech and other regulated industries.
