Senior Algorithm Engineer - Model Training & Optimization (ML)

What you will do

• Develop machine learning and deep learning algorithms for road-object semantic understanding using harvested tabular data.
• Design and optimize model architectures, training objectives, evaluation methods, and end-to-end training pipelines.
• Prepare datasets, select and sample data, and develop dataset composition, augmentation, loss, and training-schedule strategies.
• Analyze model behavior and failure modes through experiments and translate findings into algorithmic improvements.
• Lead investigations of complex algorithmic challenges involving data patterns, model behavior, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in algorithm engineering using machine learning, deep learning, or neural networks.
• Hands-on experience designing, training, evaluating, and optimizing models.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Pandas, PyTorch, and AWS.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Ability to independently investigate complex problems, run experiments, identify patterns, and deliver measurable improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Polars and DuckDB.
• Experience with sampling strategies, data augmentation, or hyperparameter optimization.
