Frontend Engineer (AWS Connect)

Location: Hybrid; qualified candidates must live or relocate within a 180-mile radius of Bloomington, Illinois, or Richardson, Texas, and work from home and in the office.

Salary: $97,000–$123,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Build and evolve the Hercules Rep Desktop, the primary interface for contact-center representatives.
• Contribute to the migration toward Angular, micro-frontends, and module federation.
• Deliver and deploy frontend solutions that support contact-center business outcomes, including reduced average handle time, improved first-contact resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Claims, Operations, and other cross-functional teams on data-driven product development.
• Apply engineering best practices and support platform monitoring, maintenance, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of frontend development experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.js or React.
• Working experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with contact-center technologies such as Amazon Connect, contact routing, call recording, or screen capture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab or Jenkins and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Understanding of responsive design and modern UI/UX principles and components.
• Familiarity with platform monitoring, observability tools, testing, maintenance, support, and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to learn and execute independently, research new technologies, operate in ambiguity, solve problems, communicate, collaborate across departments, and adapt to change.
