Base salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year, excluding benefits and potential equity.

Company

hirify.global is building an energy intelligence platform that combines real-time control of energy assets with visibility into energy portfolios for large energy consumers and AI infrastructure.

What you will do

  • Monitor uptime, connectivity, telemetry, site health, and SLA performance across a distributed battery energy storage fleet.
  • Commission and migrate new sites by configuring site details, tariffs, program enrollments, meters, assets, and automated checks.
  • Provide first-line customer-facing support, triage Sev 1–4 incidents in Linear, and meet response SLAs including 30-minute Sev 1 response targets.
  • Troubleshoot site controllers, logs, versions, connectivity, configurations, and autonomous operation using structured playbooks.
  • Escalate complex issues to Engineering and Data Science with complete handoff packages and coordinate with energy storage specialists, product teams, OEMs, and vendors.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, knowledge bases, incident templates, performance reports, and identify opportunities for scripting and automation.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical support, NOC, field service, or IT operations.
  • Working knowledge of IP addressing, VPNs and tunneling, connectivity diagnostics, ping, traceroute, and port checks.
  • Ability to interpret software logs, system status outputs, and basic telemetry data to diagnose issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, independent judgment, and a process-oriented approach to incident response.
  • Genuine interest in energy and battery storage, with willingness to learn battery dispatch, tariffs, and grid programs.
  • Willingness to work West Coast hours and participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

  • Experience in NOC, data center operations, infrastructure monitoring, site commissioning, field deployment, or system migrations.
  • Familiarity with IoT systems, SCADA, industrial control software, energy storage, solar, or grid-connected hardware.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or SQL.
  • Experience building knowledge bases, using AI tools for support workflows, or working with software engineering teams on bug reproduction and escalation.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fully remote work with flexible hours and unlimited PTO.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401(k).
  • Competitive compensation and a potential equity grant.
  • Values centered on empathy, honest communication, balance, precision, and sustainability.
