Senior Software Product Manager (NGS)

Location: On-site in Boulder, Colorado, United States

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Build relationships with customers, sales teams, and stakeholders to understand workflows, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
• Shape software strategy, roadmap priorities, and product requirements for the Archer NGS product line.
• Translate customer and business needs into user workflows, software requirements, acceptance criteria, and prioritized Agile backlogs.
• Lead requirements definition, business cases, and cross-functional execution for new product introductions.
• Support and optimize internal software tools used for design and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 7+ years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 5+ years, or doctoral degree with 3+ years.
• At least 3 years of experience in software product management, product ownership, or a comparable role in an Agile software environment.
• Experience with NGS, bioinformatics, genomic data analysis, molecular diagnostics, or another technically complex life science software domain.
• Experience prioritizing product backlogs and developing epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and enhancements using tools such as Jira.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and communicating business cases, technical trade-offs, and recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated product software, in vitro diagnostics, or quality-system environments.
• Experience with assay design and bioinformatics software for next-generation sequencing or genomic data analysis.
• Previous customer-facing experience.
