Product Management Director, Software

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; on-site role. Frequent travel of up to 30%, including possible international travel.

Annual salary: $195,000–$215,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Set the future vision and strategy for the software and system portfolio, including roadmap development, installed base expansion, and lifecycle management.
• Lead global cross-functional execution with R&D, operations, service, assay, product, and commercial teams.
• Drive software launch excellence and go-to-market strategy, including value propositions, positioning, and sales collateral.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer workflows to identify software improvement and expansion opportunities.
• Own system franchise strategy to expand the connected installed base, improve software utilization and reliability, and strengthen system differentiation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in global product management or global product marketing.
• Demonstrated experience leading global product launches and working with globally distributed cross-functional groups.
• Ability to work on-site in Sunnyvale, California.
• Availability for frequent travel of up to 30%.
