Associate Director: Clinical Supply Chain - Logistics and Vendor Management (Biotech)

Location: US - California - Thousand Oaks; workplace type: Flex Commuter / Hybrid. Other listed location: Breda, Netherlands. Travel up to 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $161,560.35–$218,581.65 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Manage the global logistics and vendor management team supporting clinical development supply chains.
• Set up and operate logistics networks, distribution strategies, and transportation processes for clinical trials.
• Manage strategic logistics vendors, vendor performance, distribution budgets, and value-creation initiatives.
• Ensure processes comply with GMP, GDP, Annex 13, GxP, ICH, and applicable local and regional regulations.
• Lead team development, coaching, resource allocation, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Drive process improvements, clinical logistics technology initiatives, audits, inspections, and global alignment.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 3 years of supply chain experience, or a master's degree and 7 years, bachelor's degree and 9 years, associate's degree and 12 years, or high school diploma/GED and 14 years.
• At least 3 years of people management or leadership experience involving teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, international trade, clinical development, transportation, vendor management, and temperature-controlled logistics.
• Experience in regulated and international environments, with knowledge of GMP, GDP, SOX, GxP, ICH, and clinical-trial requirements.
• Fluent English communication skills and advanced MS Office experience; ERP experience, preferably SAP.
• Strong coaching, negotiation, communication, analytical, organizational, and strategic leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or life sciences.
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Leadership, PMP, IPMA, or APICS certification.
