Access Governance Specialist (IAM)

Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; employees may work from home or in the office based on business, Client, and individual needs. The role requires Reliability Security Clearance, law enforcement inquiry, credit check, and accounting for any period of 6 consecutive months lived or travelled outside Canada during the last 5 years.

Base pay: CAD 70,000–105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Execute periodic access reviews, attestation processes, audit activities, and regulatory compliance tasks in accordance with Logical Access Security Standards.
• Identify, assess, and recommend access controls and security solutions that reduce identity-related risk while supporting business continuity.
• Respond to internal client queries and provide timely support.
• Collaborate with technical support and project teams to deliver services that meet end-user requirements and IAM governance practices.
• Work with Audit teams to demonstrate compliance with information security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Support certificate lifecycle management with the Security Platform team and provide information security, audit, and regulatory compliance reports.

Requirements

• University degree or college diploma in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in IT security-related projects, access controls, and identity and access management.
• 5+ years of experience with an Identity and Access Management suite.
• Thorough understanding of Identity and Access Management governance models.
• Technical ability to run complex SQL queries for data analysis and generate reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and add-ins.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of SailPoint tools, Venafi Certificate Management, CyberArk Vault, and ServiceNow.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete applicable background checks before the start date and during employment, including the Reliability Security Clearance requirements.

Nice to have

• Professional IT security designation such as CIAM, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, SANS/GIAC, or CEH.
• Strong analytical aptitude and ability to drive solutions to a positive conclusion.
• Ability to work independently amid ambiguity, deliver expected outcomes, focus on end deliverables, and build trust with internal clients and peers.
• Work experience in the financial industry.
