Sourcing Specialist - Sand Castings Supply Chain

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Salary: $147,760–$221,640 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements for sand casting suppliers.
• Build partnerships with suppliers, internal functions, and business stakeholders.
• Assess business proposals, supplier risks, industry benchmarks, metrics, and best practices.
• Analyze data to prioritize opportunities for cost reduction, improved inventory utilization, and stronger supplier performance.
• Support strategic and tactical supply planning for the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Understanding of ferrous metallurgy, foundry practices, traditional machining, and NDE processes.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, NACE, and API specifications.
• Experience in business management, contract negotiations, supply chain, and customer relationship management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and supplier negotiation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego five days per week; eligible applicants may receive visa sponsorship.

• Production management experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints.
