Quoting Procurement Specialist (Fastener Manufacturing)

Location: Middleburg Heights, Ohio, United States; onsite role

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily RFQ and quoting activities for finished goods and fastener-related products.
• Analyze customer specifications, drawings, material requirements, and supplier capabilities to develop sourcing solutions.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, consolidate demand, and support cost savings and margin improvement.
• Coordinate with sales on quote status, supplier updates, pricing changes, and lead times.
• Release and manage purchase orders, expedite supplier orders, and follow up on critical deliveries.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing variances, rejected materials, certification concerns, vendor profile issues, and other supplier-related problems.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of purchasing, quoting, sourcing, or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting RFQs and quotes for manufactured products or fastener-related components.
• Knowledge of fastener manufacturing, raw materials, specifications, coatings, machining, plating, heat treating, and supplier capabilities.
• Strong procurement, negotiation, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheets, and pivot tables.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally while supporting quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, especially Oracle.
• Manufacturing and fastener industry experience.
