Software Engineer I (AI)

What you will do

• Contribute to the Insight Engine, including services that run insights and systems that evaluate them.
• Build cloud-native and agentic systems using C# on AWS under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Implement features and fixes with clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and data scientists to bring data science work into production.
• Participate in on-call rotations and learn monitoring, alerting, incident response, and production operations.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional software development experience, or recent graduation with relevant internship or co-op experience.
• Proficiency in C# or a similar object-oriented language such as Java.
• Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, data structures, and algorithms.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS, through work, coursework, or personal projects.
• Exposure to LLMs in agentic development and familiarity with Git, code review, and automated testing.
• Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM APIs, prompt design, or evaluation development.
• Experience with Python or .NET Orleans.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, CI/CD, Docker, and containerization.
• Experience using generative AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
