Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office. Early morning or evening syncs may be required with the Tel Aviv team.

Base salary: $138,500–$195,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design and build recommendation, ranking, predictive customer behavior, targeting, and personalization models.
• Implement machine learning and statistical algorithms, deliver trained models to production, and maintain the surrounding services.
• Own ML systems end to end, including design, development, deployment, measurement, and maintenance.
• Build automated evaluation harnesses, testing frameworks, benchmarks, baselines, and guardrails for ML systems using a TDD process.
• Present technical findings to product teams and technical leads.
• Build data pipelines from Kafka and SQL production systems into HDFS and Hadoop, and develop distributed data transformation and computation solutions with Hadoop and Spark.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computational economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and Java.
• Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or personalization at scale.
• Experience owning machine learning systems across design, development, deployment, measurement, and maintenance.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and collaborate across teams, including with the Tel Aviv team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Karpathy's autoresearch, AutoML, or other agentic tools for machine learning experiments.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
