Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote within the United States; office hubs are available in Denver and San Francisco. Corporate roles are not hired in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Dakota, or Vermont.

Salary: $161,500–$232,500 annually, with location-based compensation.

What you will do

• Lead ambiguous projects from finance, revenue cycle management, or client-facing stakeholders through design, review, implementation, and production ownership.
• Build and extend Go services for contract and pricing configuration, billable event generation, subscription and invoice management, and claims submission.
• Expand assertion and reconciliation systems across Salesforce, Zuora, and clinical data to detect discrepancies before customer invoicing.
• Improve billing and reconciliation data used by health plans and employer partners.
• Design self-service tools that allow finance, RCM, and client operations to configure contracts, correct data, and perform bulk changes without engineering support.
• Contribute to design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and apply AI where it improves development workflows or the SDLC.

Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating production backend services in Go or another statically typed language.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, eventual consistency, ordering, idempotency, and systems that can disagree with one another.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working across application code and analytics layers.
• Experience owning systems where correctness affects billing, payments, claims, ledgers, or regulated reporting.
• Experience working directly with non-engineering stakeholders and translating finance or operations problems into technical designs.
• Experience with a major cloud platform, preferably GCP, plus frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
