Senior Backend Software Engineer (Kotlin/Go)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design, deployment, and maintenance of high-throughput SMB customer acquisition services.
• Build and evolve event-driven backend systems using Kotlin, Go, Kafka, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Scale integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Segment, and other business-critical platforms.
• Define SLOs, alerts, and observability practices using Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
• Review code, evolve architecture, mentor peers, and use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and documentation.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in production.
• Production experience with Kotlin and Go, or extensive modern Java experience with strong motivation to work with Kotlin and Go.
• Practical experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka or equivalent message brokers, asynchronous processing, and resilient API design.
• Experience with containerized microservices deployed on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, data modeling, and database management.
• Fluent Portuguese for daily squad communication and professional working English for documentation and stakeholder collaboration are required.
