Senior Software Engineer (Backend) (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote within EMEA

Salary: €60,000–€125,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Work deeply with Kubernetes internals, including architectural patterns, networking, and storage.
• Develop high-performance, resilient Go code for the core hirify.global Platform.
• Own feature development end to end, from technical design through release.
• Design scalable tenancy models for isolation and resource sharing beyond namespaces.
• Contribute to open-source projects and engage with the Kubernetes community.
• Solve complex systems architecture and technical problems autonomously.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, architecture, networking, and storage.
• Strong programming skills in Go.
• Demonstrated builder mindset through GitHub projects, experiments, or open-source contributions.
• High autonomy and the ability to identify and solve technical problems independently.
• Experience in a high-growth or startup environment and comfort with ambiguity.
• Availability to work remotely from the EMEA region.

Nice to have

• Contributions to the upstream Kubernetes project, including documentation, pull requests, or Special Interest Group participation.
• Experience at an early-stage organization.
